A rose is a small round fixing behind the handle; a backplate is a longer plate that can incorporate a keyhole or thumbturn. It’s mostly a style choice.

The handle feels great in the hand and the matt black is a proper deep black, not grey. Concealed fixings look really clean on the door.

Great handle, check your backset
Really happy with the quality. Just make sure you measure your backset first — I needed the 57mm latch not the 44mm.
